Freshness is key.
Flowers should be colorful and fresh. Keep an eye out for wilting petals, browning leaves, and slimy stems.

Pick before peak.
Select bouquets that contain flowers that are still beginning to open. While arrangements in full bloom are stunning, flowers last longer if purchased before they have fully bloomed.

Look for uniformity.
When selecting an arrangement, ensure all flowers are equally fresh. Check that all flowers are of comparable size and state of bloom and the stems are of similar length.
